Harwood not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since February 19th (when they won 62-33). Everything went their way against the Vergennes Commodores as they made off with a 77-54 win. 77 seems to be a good number for the Highlanders as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Harwood had a senior duo take command as Steele Nelson dropped a double-double with 26 points and 16 rebounds and Alec Sands shot 60% from the field en route to 24 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Braedon Bellows, who posted 13 points.

Harwood has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 77.0 points this season. As for Vergennes, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Harwood will be home for the holidays to greet Mt. Abraham at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vergennes will wrap up 2025 with a road trip to face off against Spaulding at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
