Basketball Recap: Fairmont Prep Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Fairmont Prep won the last time they faced Pacifica Christian, and Adyra Rajan did her part to make sure it happened again. The Fairmont Prep Huskies claimed a resounding 68-34 win over the Pacifica Christian Tritons thanks in part to Rajan, who went 8 for 18 en route to 27 points and four steals. Her evening made it 12 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Several Tritons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Vivian Villagrana, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 13 points. That was a full 38.2% of Pacifica Christian's points, marking the third time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caylie Villagrana, who earned nine points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Fairmont Prep is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Pacifica Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13.

When Fairmont Prep and Pacifica Christian next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Fairmont Prep will try to stop Brentwood School's four-game winning streak when the meet at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Fairmont Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.9 points per game this season. Similarly, Pacifica Christian will face off against Oak Hills and their four-game winning streak at 9:30 a.m. on Monday.
