Baseball Recap: Central Fellowship Christian Academy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Central Fellowship Christian Academy came into Monday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Windsor Academy Knights 12-1 on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lancers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Matthew Albritton made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Central Fellowship Christian Academy is 2-1 when Albritton posts two or more runs, but 0-16 otherwise.

In other batting news, Central Fellowship Christian Academy let Carter Welch and Mason Summer run wild. Welch went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Summer went 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three RBI gave Welch a new career-high. George Bassett was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs.

Central Fellowship Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Windsor Academy only managed two hits.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-17. As for Windsor Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Central Fellowship Christian Academy beat the Knights by a score of 13-8 on Tuesday.
