Gulf came out on top against Fivay on Friday thanks in part to Kavion Brown's efforts. Brown turned in his biggest game of the season, rushing for 89 yards and two TDs on only ten carries, while also throwing for 65 yards and one touchdown. He is becoming a predictor of Gulf's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't).

Looking ahead, Brown and Gulf will challenge River Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will pit Brown up against the Royal Knights' star RB Jonah Clouse. Will the contest be decided in the trenches? We'll have our answer very soon.
