Baseball Recap: Orchard Park Takes a Loss

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Orchard Park nor Williamsville North made it on the board until the seventh inning. The Quakers took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The loss continues a trend for the Quakers in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost three in a row.

Orchard Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Newlove, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Orchard Park's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Williamsville North, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

While Orchard Park had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
