Basketball Recap: Ocean View Christian Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against School for Entrepreneurship & Technology, Ocean View Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Preuss UCSD Tritons by a score of 30-21. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 30-12 loss the last time these two teams met.

Afi Torgby and Rediet Neme certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Torgby posted nine points, while Neme scored eight points. That was a full 38.1% of Preuss UCSD's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

The victory got Ocean View Christian back to even at 5-5. As for Preuss UCSD, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ocean View Christian will venture away from home to face off against Liberty Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Preuss UCSD, they are taking a road trip to square off against School for Entrepreneurship & Technology at 5:00 p.m. on January 30th.
