Softball Recap: Dodge County Takes a Loss

If Dodge County was feeling good fresh off their 31-2 takedown of Southwest on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians fell 5-0 to the Wheeler County Bulldogs on Wednesday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Scarlett Parkerson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Dodge County's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Wheeler County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Coming up, Dodge County will take on Washington County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wheeler County, they will square off against Montgomery County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
