Basketball Recap: Rutherford Takes a Loss

Rutherford was the 70-48 winner over Arnold when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Rutherford Rams took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arnold Marlins. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 471st, while the Marlins are ranked 234th).

It was another big night for Chris Noble, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards for Arnold. Luke Romack was another key player, putting up 11 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Rutherford and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Arnold, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Rutherford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-45 loss against South Walton on the 13th. As for Arnold, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-33 defeat against Mosley on the 13th.
