Football Recap: Arkansas Comes Up Short

Arkansas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. The matchup between the Razorbacks and the Lakeside Rams didn't end well, with the Razorbacks falling 28-14. While losing is never fun, the Razorbacks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas football rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Rams are ranked 14th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lakeside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wally Wolcott, who threw for 293 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt. The Rams' leading receiver Drew Morgan was Wolcott's top target yet again, picking up 164 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Arkansas' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lakeside, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Arkansas will head out to face off against Parkview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Lakeside, they will host Hope at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Bobcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.83 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
