Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cornerstone Christian). They claimed a resounding 62-6 win over the Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin Raptors. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-0.

Jaylen McKane continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 150 yards and three TDs on only ten carries. He has become a key player for Cornerstone Christian: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Malcolm Carter was another key player, throwing for 113 yards and three touchdowns on only eight passes.

Cornerstone Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Drake Carroll and Xavier Gardner. Cornerstone Christian received some extra help from Jacob Veasey, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

The victory made it two in a row for Cornerstone Christian and bumps their season record up to 6-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 19 points in those games. As for Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Cornerstone Christian is taking a road trip to square off against Legacy School of Sport Sciences at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin, they will be playing at home against Lake Country Christian at 7:30 p.m. on November 7.
