Baseball Recap: Reed-Custer Gets the Win

While Reed-Custer's victory against Grant Park wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Comets skirted past the Dragons 4-2. The win continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won eight in a row.

Christian Mounts was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jeffrey Wolford, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Reed-Custer hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive games.

Reed-Custer's victory bumped their record up to 7-22. As for Grant Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Reed-Custer nor Grant Park have any future games scheduled.
