Basketball Game Preview: Wissahickon Trojans vs. Abington Galloping Ghosts

Wissahickon hasn't had much luck against Abington recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Wissahickon Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Abington Galloping Ghosts at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Wissahickon is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 33-29 heartbreaker at the hands of Hatboro-Horsham.

Meanwhile, Abington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cheltenham. While losing is never fun, the Galloping Ghosts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Panthers are ranked 45th).

Wissahickon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Abington, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Wissahickon was taken down by Abington 70-22 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Wissahickon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
