Soccer Game Preview: Lompoc vs. Cabrillo

The Lompoc Braves will venture away from home to take on the Cabrillo Conquistadores at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Lompoc will be strutting in after a win while Cabrillo will be coming in after a defeat.

Lompoc took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They skirted past Pioneer Valley 1-0.

Meanwhile, Cabrillo fell victim to Santa Maria and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saints. That's two games in a row now that the Conquistadores have lost by exactly two goals.

Lompoc is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-10-1 record this season. As for Cabrillo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.
