Volleyball Recap: Freedom Takes a Loss

Freedom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tohopekaliga Tigers. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

London Miles paced Freedom's offense, picking up four kills. Miles got some help from Joana Petegrosso and her ten assists. Isabella Vercosa controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Freedom's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Tohopekaliga, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Freedom has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Melbourne Central Catholic on the 13th. As for Tohopekaliga, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Winter Springs on the 12th.
