After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Culver City, Santa Monica was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Centennial Apaches an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won six matchups by eight goals or more so far this season.

Santa Monica has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those seven games. As for Centennial, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7-4.
