Soccer Recap: Banks County Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hart County, Banks County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Washington-Wilkes Tigers onto the board and left with a 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Leopards: when they faced off against the Tigers last Tuesday, they had to take a 1-0 loss.

Daniel Elias-Renteria and Josue Zelaya scored all three of Banks County's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Banks County's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Washington-Wilkes, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Banks County will welcome Lincoln County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln County has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 19 goals over their last three matches. As for Washington-Wilkes, they will challenge Oglethorpe County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Washington-Wilkes' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
