Basketball Game Preview: Kingsburg Vikings vs. Selma Bears

Kingsburg hasn't had much luck against Selma recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Kingsburg Vikings will head out to square off against the Selma Bears at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Kingsburg is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Hanford West on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Kingsburg had to suffer through a 58-27 loss at the hands of Hanford West. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 686th, while the Huskies are ranked 255th).

Meanwhile, Selma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by Dinuba 71-29. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-15.

Selma's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Kingsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.

Kingsburg came up short against Selma in their previous meeting back in January, falling 42-38. Can Kingsburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
