Football Recap: Lone Peak Takes Down Skyridge in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Lone Peak had no trouble coming through when it counted. They snuck past the Skyridge Falcons with a 13-7 win on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Falcons back in October, they had to take a 37-34 loss.

Kepa Niumeitolu threw for 157 yards while completing 72.7% of his passes. Jaron Pula was his top target, picking up 83 receiving yards. On the ground, Tate Barney rushed for 100 yards.

The victory (which was Lone Peak's third in a row) raised their record to 8-4. As for Skyridge, they moved to 9-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Lone Peak will head out to take on Corner Canyon at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Chargers have now posted at least 31 points in their last six games. Skyridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
