Football Recap: Canton-Galva Takes a Loss

After flying high against Centre last Friday, Canton-Galva came back down to earth. The Eagles were outmatched by the Central Christian Cougars and fell 56-8. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Central Christian had a senior duo take command as Konnor Sullivan rushed for 201 yards and six touchdowns on only 15 carries and Piercen Huff rushed for 120 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries. Sullivan's longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Canton-Galva's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Central Christian, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Canton-Galva will take on Wakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Christian, they will square off against Stafford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season.
