Basketball Recap: Canyon Crest Academy Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Canyon Crest Academy faced off against Tri-City Christian on Saturday. The Canyon Crest Academy Ravens fell 67-57 to the Tri-City Christian Eagles.

Tri-City Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dre Cleaves, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 22 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Cleaves has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Cronkhite, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 15 points.

Canyon Crest Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Tri-City Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Canyon Crest Academy and Steele Canyon will round out the year against one another at at 2:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Tri-City Christian, they will challenge Scripps Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Tri-City Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season.
