Recap: San Dieguito Academy Mustangs vs. Bishop's Knights
On Wednesday, San Dieguito Academy had to suffer through a rough 58-24 loss at the hands of Bishop's. San Dieguito Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-14.
Bishop's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Margo Leong, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds. Leong is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ayla Johnson, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals.
This is the second loss in a row for San Dieguito Academy and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Bishop's, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
San Dieguito Academy will head out on the road to face off against Point Loma at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Point Loma presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than San Dieguito Academy in California (Point Loma is ranked 182nd, while San Dieguito Academy is ranked 458th). As for Bishop's, they will be playing at home against San Diego at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully San Diego focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
