Soccer Recap: Monte Vista Victorious

Monte Vista kept a clean sheet against Sweetwater on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Sweetwater Red Devils as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Monarchs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

They hit Sweetwater with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nyla Jack, Melissa Velazquez Varela, and Marely Velazquez.

Monte Vista's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3-1. As for Sweetwater, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-1.

Monte Vista will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Otay Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Sweetwater will take on Morse in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
