Softball Recap: Mead Gets the Win

Mead came out on top against Horizon on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run seventh inning. The Mavericks took their game against the Hawks 13-9. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mavericks.

Mead got a big performance out of Zoe Mowers, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Ari Tovar, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Mead's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Horizon, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-5.

Mead didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-6 loss against Erie on the 18th. As for Horizon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against Frederick on the 16th.
