New Braunfels Thunder waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Meridian Lions by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Homeschool, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Avalee Lenard paced New Braunfels Thunder's offense, picking up six kills. Lenard were helped by Maddison Heiser and Junie Flores, who contributed seven assists each. Heiser was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

New Braunfels Thunder's victory bumped their record up to 11-2-1. As for Meridian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

New Braunfels Thunder will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Michael's at 6:30 p.m. on September 9. As for Meridian, they will take on Texas Lions Academy in a tournament on Saturday.
