Basketball Recap: Perry Makes It Five in a Row on the Road + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sunnyslope, Perry was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They secured a 60-56 W over the Deer Valley Skyhawks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pumas also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Perry to victory, but perhaps none more so than JJ Howard, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Kolby Barnes, who posted 15 points and six rebounds.

Perry pushed their record up to 1-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points over those games. As for Deer Valley, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.

Perry has already played their next matchup, a 49-42 victory against Corona del Sol on the 4th. As for Deer Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-52 win against Prescott on the 4th.
