Recap: Jefferson Grizzlies vs. El Primero Lobos
The Jefferson Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 21 points or more this season. They put the hurt on El Primero with a sharp 46-25 victory on Monday.
Jefferson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jerzey Gallegos, who scored nine points along with five assists and five rebounds. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Hall, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Jefferson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for El Primero, they bumped their record down to 1-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hillsdale at 5:00 p.m. on December 30th. El Primero will be home for the holidays to greet University Prep Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
