Dassel-Cokato had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 28-7 margin over the Rockford Rockets. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Rockets are ranked 140th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Coming up, Dassel-Cokato will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. As for Rockford, they will head out on the road to take on Watertown-Mayer at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. The match will give the Rockets their first taste of in-conference action this season.
