Football Recap: South River Skates Past Hereford with Ease + How To Watch

The South River Seahawks humbled the Hereford Bulls with a 49-14 victory. The Seahawks pushed the score to 42-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulls had little chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South River to victory, but perhaps none more so than Benjamin Raines, who threw for 269 yards and three TDs on only 16 passes. Jaden McDuffie was another key pass catcher, picking up 151 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 19 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of McDuffie, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from Xander Dowell.

South River has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 42.0 points this season. As for Hereford, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

South River has already played their next game, a 41-22 win against SEED on the 19th. As for Hereford, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-24 victory against Kenwood on the 19th.
