Benson had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Desert Christian Eagles. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory didn't come easy: Desert Christian scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 19-25, 25-21, 25-21.

Hazel Chapman paced Benson's offense, picking up 14 kills. Chapman got some help from Karris Taylor and her 34 assists. Taylor was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Despite the loss, Desert Christian still got an impressive performance from Kaitlyn Farias, who had 17 digs. Addie Jones also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Benson's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Desert Christian, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 16-6.

Benson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against St. David on the 10th. As for Desert Christian, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Cholla on the 10th.
