It was a proper cat-fight when Gilmer challenged Union County on Friday. The Gilmer Bobcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Union County Panthers, sneaking past 4-2. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 7-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory got Gilmer back to even at 1-1. As for Union County, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Gilmer has already played their next matchup, a 14-6 defeat against Pickens on the 18th. As for Union County, they will head out on the road to take on White County at 11:00 a.m. on February 22nd.
