Basketball Recap: Canyon Crest Academy Starts Season with Win Against Classical Academy

Canyon Crest Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They breezed past the Classical Academy Caimans to the tune of 46-19. That's more bragging rights for the Ravens, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Canyon Crest Academy found their leader in sophomore AUDREY ZOU, who shot 70% from the field on her way to 16 points and six steals. Another player making a difference was ELA GULEC, who posted three points along with six steals and five rebounds.

Canyon Crest Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Looking ahead, Canyon Crest Academy will welcome La Jolla at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Classical Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Hilltop at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
