Football Recap: Paris Comes Up Short

After soaring to 35 points the game before, Paris was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a hard 24-7 fall against the Pleasant Grove Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Hawks are ranked 66th).

Paris' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Pleasant Grove, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Paris will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Van Alstyne at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pleasant Grove, they will head out to take on Daingerfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
