Basketball Game Preview: Merced Bears vs. Hughson Huskies

The Merced Bears and the Hughson Huskies will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Thursday, Merced came up short against Mountain House and fell 49-39.

Meanwhile, Hughson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 52-27 to Pitman.

Merced now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Hughson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Merced came out on top in a nail-biter against Hughson in their previous matchup back in December of 2018, sneaking past 44-41. Will Merced repeat their success, or does Hughson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
