Baseball Recap: Marion County Takes a Loss

Marion County managed to slip by Pike County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles lost 14-2 to the Pirates on Tuesday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Marion County has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16-1 record this season. As for Pike County, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-13.

Looking ahead, Marion County is taking a road trip to challenge Crisp County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pike County, they will welcome Ola at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
