Rock Bridge dropped down to 3-3 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They took  a  6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bellevue East Chieftains. The  game marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring  match so far this season.
As for Bellevue East, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.
 For Bellevue East's part,  Audrina Urwin was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.  Brynn Friedrich was another key player,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with one  stolen base and one  run.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rock Bridge will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jefferson City at 5:30  p.m.  on  the 16th. As for Bellevue East, they will head out to  take on Columbus  at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Chieftains' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Discoverers have averaged an impressive 7.7  runs per game this season.
