Basketball Recap: Trinity Starts off Right with Win over Hoopa Valley

Trinity gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They secured a 43-38 W over the Hoopa Valley Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Trinity's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Claire Cox, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. Cox has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Kloe Kist was another key player, putting up 16 points and six rebounds.

Loss or not, Hoopa Valley got some senior leadership from Harmony Nelson and Ivy Lamebear. Nelson posted 14 points, while Lamebear put up 14 points.

Hoopa Valley now has a losing record at 1-2.

Trinity wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-37 defeat against Enterprise on the 5th. As for Hoopa Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-42 loss against Arcata on the 10th.
