Baseball Recap: Cairo Takes a Loss

Cairo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Tift County Blue Devils, falling 13-2.

Cairo now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Tift County, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.

Looking ahead, Cairo will welcome Valdosta at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Syrupmakers are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Tift County, they will face off against Holmes County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tift County's pitchers better be ready for this one: Holmes County has averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
