Basketball Recap: Faith Harper's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mission Viejo over Pacifica

Mission Viejo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 38-25 to the Pacifica Mariners. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Diablos of the 58-27 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Several Diablos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Faith Harper, who posted eight points.

Mission Viejo's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Pacifica, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-13 record.

When Mission Viejo and Pacifica next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Mission Viejo will try to stop Tesoro's five-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th. Meanwhile, Pacifica will try to stop El Modena's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on January 7th.
