Basketball Recap: Poly Gets the Win

Poly won the last time they faced Hillcrest, and Abby Folsom did her part to make sure it happened again. The Poly Bears blew past the Hillcrest Trojans 53-21 on Monday thanks in part to Folsom, who posted 18 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Poly's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kaelin Bain, who earned ten points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The win got Poly back to even at 5-5. As for Hillcrest, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Poly and Rancho Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hillcrest, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Norte Vista at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillcrest is facing Norte Vista at the right time seeing as Norte Vista is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
