Recap: Brashear Bulls vs. Steel Valley Ironmen
The Brashear Bulls scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Steel Valley 78-23 at home. Brashear has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 29 points or more this season.
Ariana Sherrill was her usual excellent self, scoring 32 points along with three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ra'Nyah Morris, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
The win (which was Brashear's third in a row) raised their record to 10-9. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 39.7 points. As for Steel Valley, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
Brashear won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Obama Academy of International Studies at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Obama Academy of International Studies will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Brashear surely won't give up without a fight. As for Steel Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Seton LaSalle at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
