Baseball Recap: Bethany Christian Comes Up Short

Bethany Christian had lost ten straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-11 to make it 11. They lost 13-0 to the Bloomfield Christian School Defenders. The contest marked the first time this year in which Bethany Christian was not able to get on the board.

As for Bloomfield Christian School, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6. Considering they have won ten matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Bloomfield Christian School's part, Evan Partyka made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 15 over five innings pitched. Partyka has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up a single earned run in ten consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on James Busch, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Micaiah Snider was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Bethany Christian nor Bloomfield Christian School have any future games scheduled.
