Elk River beats Sauk Rapids-Rice for their second straight win

Even though The Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm scored an imposing 35 points on Saturday, the Elk River Elks still came out on top. Elk River came out on top in a nail-biter against Sauk Rapids-Rice and snuck past 38-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Elk River.
Elk River's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Bunker, who rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Owen Van drehle also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Elk River is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season. As for Sauk Rapids-Rice, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2.
Elk River will head out on the road to face off against Andover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Andover will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Sauk Rapids-Rice does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
