Softball Recap: Islands Takes a Loss

Islands lost against Long County back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Sharks came up short against the Blue Tide, falling 24-3.

Islands' defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Long County, they pushed their record up to 21-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Islands will face off against Liberty County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Sharks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Long County, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-1 win against Tattnall County on the 3rd.
