Softball Recap: Salem Comes Up Short

After flying high against Columbia on Thursday, Salem came back down to earth. The Seminoles lost 16-7 to the Heritage Patriots on Monday. The Seminoles haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Heritage, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-14.

Coming up, Salem will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Forest Park at 5:30 p.m. As for Heritage, they will head out to take on Newton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
