Softball Recap: Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks vs. Kearney Bearcats

Lincoln Southwest faced Kearney in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Silver Hawks never let the Bearcats get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. The Silver Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bearcats, too.

The result came thanks to Maisey McCarty's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
