Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tipton). They claimed a resounding 49-7 win over the Lafayette Central Catholic Knights. With that victory, the Blue Devils brought their scoring average up to 28.6 points per game.

Tipton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zane I. Durham, who rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns. I. Durham also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending two passes. Quinn Tolle was another key signal caller, throwing for 152 yards and one TD.

Tipton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dakota Garmon and Zakk Emberton. Garmon got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Tipton now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, Tipton will square off against Hamilton Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they will face off against Benton Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will be up against the Bison's rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
