Basketball Game Preview: Nazareth Area Blue Eagles vs. Liberty Hurricanes

The Nazareth Area Blue Eagles will head out to square off against the Liberty Hurricanes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Last Thursday, Nazareth Area was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 40-36 to Easton Area.

Meanwhile, everything went Liberty's way against Freedom on Thursday as Liberty made off with a 60-38 win. The Hurricanes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

Liberty is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for Nazareth Area, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Nazareth Area couldn't quite finish off Liberty in their previous meeting back in January and fell 64-62. Can Nazareth Area avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
