Basketball Game Preview: Tri-Valley Bulldogs vs. Halifax Wildcats

Having just played yesterday, the Tri-Valley Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Halifax Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Friday, Tri-Valley took a blow against Mahanoy Area, falling 71-33.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Avery Miller, who posted 11 points in addition to six boards and five assists. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Faith Artz, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Halifax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy and fell 68-23. The match marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Tri-Valley dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Halifax, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Tri-Valley couldn't quite finish off Halifax when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 43-41. Can Tri-Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
