Kern Valley barely beat Lone Pine the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Broncs claimed a resounding 66-22 victory over the Golden Eagles. With the Broncs ahead 43-5 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Kern Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayda Bushling led the charge by putting up four points and eight steals. Bushling is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season. Sophia Charlton was another key player, scoring eight points and six steals.

Kern Valley has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kern Valley will take on Highland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lone Pine, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Desert at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
