Softball Recap: Buena Vista Takes a Loss

Buena Vista lost against Syracuse back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bison lost 9-1 to the Rockets. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gwyn Revis was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned (and seven unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.

Buena Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Syracuse, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-8 record.

Buena Vista has already played their next contest, a 14-8 win against Falls City on the 6th. As for Syracuse, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-4 loss against Nebraska City on the 6th.
